I am licensed to practice counseling and psychotherapy services in the State of Texas. I am also a Board Approved Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S).
How long is a counseling or psychotherapy session?
Each initial session is scheduled for 90 minutes. Each follow up session is typically scheduled for 50 minutes. Most people continue to see a therapist once or twice a week for consistent progress to be made.
How can counseling or psychotherapy help?
Counseling and Psychotherapy can often seem difficult and can feel uncomfortable. Processing through painful emotions and past or present circumstances is necessary for lasting change to occur. The advantages of resolving conflict and problem areas in your life far outweigh the discomfort you may experience during counseling or psychotherapy.
